Gold

First coat.  Not bad.  One more coat and then I put it back together.
"This one was so much fun I can't wait to do another one!" said this Sewing Machine Fanatic NEVER

UPDATE !!

I applied the second coat and tomorrow or later tonight plan to re-assemble the treadle....

Just wondering, is this the treadle that you were working on in June? It's looking good...
I have a Janome Treadle we got in Japan while in the service. Our landlord had left it in the house, and I asked if we could buy it from him... (or his wife) he said, "Skoshie presento"... which means small present! I told him no that the machine was worth $, and I didn't want to take advantage of him. Or at least it was worth something to me! So that was way back in 1976... fast forward to 2012, it's moved 7 times since then and 4 kids later... it has somehow survived it all. I bought a new belt for it and I will need to clean and get it greased up to see if it will work. I've never sewn with it, but I'm anxious to clean it up and learn how to use it. All the instructions in the manual are in Japanese. Yeah... so, hopefully I can get it figured out. The top is inlayed wood... maybe oak... (guess I need to ask my DH... I'm sure he has told me before... just don't remember.) Step by step.
    Wish me luck!

    1. Yes this is the treadle I started working on in June. I would love to see a photo of the Janome treadle.
