The motor sounds strong, though it did protest a little a first, once running it was FAST. The levers move easily and I love the look. Did I mention that I learned to sew on a 401? I just love this style.

ReplyDeleteA few years ago I went back to the town I grew up in after being gone for many years. One of the things I wanted to do was sew on my mom's 401A. Unfortunately, my mom rarely sews and never oils it. . . it was a much better sewing experience in memory. . .
Yes, it was Mom's 401. The needle position is off center, unfortunately. It sews fine, just a bit off center BUT I will take it with me to Ray White's class and fix it.
