My plan is to take a closer look at it tomorrow. I found another motor just like this on one of my other Singers. So I can study this and check that one out, to make sure it does not meet the same demise. Can't wait.

more motor work
This is the motor from " Syracuse Gramma's 66" that I will be studying.
I have no clue how it got so gunked up and melted. I figure it must have shorted out.
Gee, I wonder why?
