Betsy and I went shopping today. Our sewing class was a bust. Not enough people signed up so we cancelled it. This is a Craigs list find. It is in very nice shape. I looked at the motor brushes tonight.
I think they look fine. They are not oily at all. Plenty of life left in these.
The commutator is a bit dirty.
But it will clean right up, I am sure. Tomorrow's project. Or maybe I will work on the 301 Long Bed. YUK. This one is much cleaner and so much nicer.
I believe that this model was the BEST (non-straight stitch) machine Singer made. I love the strength and speed of this machine. Good find!!!
