DON'T QUIT YOUR DAY JOB

I got up and got to my part of the paint job early this morning.  I promised Steven that I would paint the lower part; form the top of the windows to the sills.  The windows still need to be prepped.  I believe professionals paint the trim first.  It certainly is looking crisp and clean.

Hopefully this job will last a few years.  This is the southern exposure.

  1. Painting a house is such a huge job! But I love painted houses so much more than vinyl-sided houses. I admire you for sticking with the paint.

You have beautiful porches and what a great view from your front porch. Love it!

  2. Looks professional to me! Bet your glad it's done.... now back to the fun stuff! I like your pooch in the before photo sitting up on the cement porch wall. Looks just like he wants to be included in the picture.

  3. Lookin good. Old fashioned lead based paint used to last a very long time. The new "nontoxic" stuff has a very short life. I too like the look of a painted house rather than vinyl - but the constant need to scape and repaint often makes one resort to the "vinyl solution."
