The leader/ender scrappy quilt is ready. Tomorrow is the big day. I feel pretty good. I don't know how I will quilt it. Perhaps I will just simply stipple. That would probably be wise. I just need some hours on the machine. I won't need to use the stitch regulator so I can just relax and have some

Your stitching looks great. Don't be intimidated- you have conquered much more ornery machines- this is new. My own opinion is don't stipple. Even the most wonky quilting looks better than stippling. Stippling is like wearing sweatpants going shopping. Even just straight lines are nice. I just finished a lot of straight lines (not diagonal) on a quilt I had to mail today for the Genesee Valley Quilt Show in June and could not even stop to take a photo. Small swirls in the sashing would look nice. I have not used the stitch regulator- it is noisy and I don't get the point.
ReplyDeleteOK. I won't stipple. But I can do that one handed.
DeleteYou could do wavy echo lines one handed. You could vary the spacing or do tight or wider ones. That would look great.
DeleteAre those stitches on the white fabric done on your nolting? Whatever machine you were using ...they look great!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your wrist. Hope it's healing. I see you have been busy the past few weeks (I've been gone, and I'm just catching up).
ReplyDeleteIntentional or not, each block reminds me of a different source from nature. For example, one block hints to water, another to foliage, another to blooms, etc... The color combinations are exceptional.
