Then just stitch and move your fabric around. Mind your fingers. You may want to loosen your upper thread tension. You could use a darning foot if you have one. You may need to set the stitch length to zero, or lower or remove the feed dogs. Use an embroidery hoop to keep the fabric flat and easy to manoeuvre. Use a zigzag stitch to paint broad strokes.Bertienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-133305403334770394.post-14382011482494157942018-02-19T17:57:33.071-05:002018-02-19T17:57:33.071-05:00Does this sewing machine have a stretch stitch?Does this sewing machine have a stretch stitch?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-133305403334770394.post-49106918452793712012017-10-22T07:29:21.900-04:002017-10-22T07:29:21.900-04:00The tension on the thread is supposed to increase ...The tension on the thread is supposed to increase when the presser foot is down. But the other day while spring cleaning I pulled it out, cleaned and lubed it then messed around with it for the evening. Sews great, I think better than my three somewhat newer machines. I have read it is caused by a little lip on the center post, that can catch the upper thread as it passes over. The solution I found is to use vintage only class 66 bobbins; new class 66 PLASTIC bobbins also seem to work nicely in my 328k. One type of motor that /is/ pretty standard is the external sort you find bolted to the back of the old black Singers and similar machines - just be sure it includes the mounting bracket, as those are standard where they bolt to the machine, but may be different where they bolt to the motor.Bertiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05531485279889813174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-133305403334770394.post-32928432412767468942016-10-16T18:16:29.093-04:002016-10-16T18:16:29.093-04:00It's a low shank machine so any invisible zipp... I have a 328K and just purchased low shank snap on feet and the low shank adapter. Both fit by machine and seem like they should work well together but the problem is my feet aren't actually attaching to the adapter. I Can't get it to snap on although the bar seats into the adapter it doesn't actually snap on & stay. When I raise my presser bar the foot stays down on the feed dogs while my shank rises up. And my doing something wrong? When I lower the presser bar it seats just fine and it is as if I could see as long as I don't raise the bar back up. I tried snapping on to the adapter off the machine and still can't get it to. I hope all that made sense!
