CARS

Taking a break from scraps today.  Sweet little panel I found at the Quilt zoo.  I had the backing fabric.  Now all I must do if find a car that goes

BEEP BEEP

I love this 15-91.  I hadn't switched it out with the 201-2 in this #42 cabinet before because the foot controller from the 201-2 was wired directly to the machine.  I re-wired the foot controller today to a three way (STOP) so that I can easily change machines.

Once upon a time I thought that my machine of choice, if I had to choose only one, would be the 201-2.  I may change my mind.  This 15-91 is very quiet and it has been my experience that 15-91s are truly close to industrial strength.

  1. You know, I think the same thing. I have been using the 15-91 for all my bindings as I machine it all on (using the glue binding method). Goes through everything like butter. I would be willing to let the lovely 201 go to a good home as the 15-91 does exactly what is needed. I also have a 15-90 that has a scroll plate like yours, but the 15-91 is so powerfully even. I don't piece on it- I mostly piece on the 301 from you. Just love my LBOW.

    1. Yeah. That is a nice LBOW. I piece on my black 301 or the 201-1.

  2. I am choking from laughing so hard. Thank You.
I thought I was the only who when push came to shove would pick the 15 over the 201; though I think the light on the front is an asset.
In fact I often choose it over my computerized Pfaff.
Is this for a particular person?

    1. Yes. This is for the DGD. She says BEEP BEEP and loves cars. I hope I can find a really annoying car with sound. Vengeful, I am.

  3. I like my 201-2, but I LOVE my 15-91 and actually all my Singer 15's (and japanese clones of the 15 model - especially the ones with the feed dog adjustment dial on the bed of the machine rather than an adjustment screw underneath like on the Singer models; also many of the j-clones have a convenient snap on and off hook assembly that make cleaning bobbin case and hook region easy peasy).

    1. The covenience of the feed dog drop on the bed of the machine has advantages. Just the same, I prefer the Singer.
